     The fabric structure generally refers to the geometry of the fabric and is the spatial relationship between the warp and weft yarns in the fabric. The fabric structure has a great influence on the physical properties of the fabric and affects the appearance of the fabric. Several types of fabrics, such as woven fabrics, knitted fabrics and non-woven fabrics, have different structural features. Crossing and winding are two stable structural relationships that the yarn can make. The fabric maintains a stable morphology and specific mechanical properties. The yarns in the fabric have their own running directions and running rules, forming different organizational structures.

     The structure of the fabric is one of the main factors affecting the abrasion resistance of the fabric, so the wear resistance of the fabric can be improved by changing the structure of the fabric.
Organization

       The effect of the fabric structure on the abrasion resistance varies with the warp and weft density of the fabric. In the fabric with low warp and weft density, the plain weave has more interlacing points, and the fiber is not easily extracted, which is beneficial to the abrasion resistance of the fabric. In fabrics with higher warp and weft density, the satin fabric has better wear resistance. The twill is second, and the plain weave is poor. Because the fiber adheres to the fabric quite well when the warp and weft density is high, the main way of fiber breakage is that the fiber is concentrated in stress and is cut by the cut. At this time, if the fabric float is long, the fiber can be properly moved in the yarn, which is beneficial to the abrasion resistance of the fabric. When the warp and weft density of the fabric is moderate, the wear resistance of the twill fabric is better.

       The wear resistance of knitted fabrics is also closely related to the structure. The basic law is the same as the woven fabric. Weft-level tissue wear resistance is better than other tissues. Because of its smooth surface and large support surface, the fibers are not easily broken and extracted.
Fabric thickness

       The thickness of the fabric has a significant effect on the flatness resistance of the fabric. The fabric is thicker and the flatness is improved, but the resistance to flexing and hemming is degraded.
Warp and weft fineness in fabric

       When the fabric is the same, the yarn in the fabric is coarse, the support surface of the fabric is large, and the fabric is not easily subjected to stress concentration when the fabric is rubbed; and when the yarn is coarse, the number of fibers included in the yarn cross section is large, and the yarn is not easily broken. These are all beneficial to the abrasion resistance of the fabric.

       The support surface of the fabric support fabric is large, indicating that the actual contact area between the fabric and the abrasive is large, and the local stress on the contact surface is small, which is beneficial to the wear resistance of the fabric.

     Apparent density of fabric

       The thickness of the fabric has a significant effect on the flatness resistance of the fabric. The fabric is thicker and the flatness is improved, but the resistance to flexing and hemming is degraded.


Fabric square weight

       The square weight of the fabric is extremely significant for the flatness of all types of fabrics. The wear resistance increases almost linearly with the weight of the square meter. However, the degree of influence on different fabrics is different. For fabrics with the same weight per unit area, the abrasion resistance of woven fabrics is better than that of knitted fabrics.
